Call for Research and Surveys on Climate Change: CIRCLE-MED 2007

The Office of the Chief Scientist of the Ministry of Environmental Protection has published a call for research proposals, within the framework of a cooperative project with the European Union on the subject of adaptation to climate change. The research project is at the initiative of CIRCLE - Climate Change Research Coordination for a Larger Europe.

The first CIRCLE joint call is for the establishment of transnational collaborative research projects on climate change impact in the Mediterranean region. The call focuses on the following subjects:

  • Adaptation Strategies in the Water Sector and Coastal Zones
  • A New Equilibrium in the Integrated Management of Water Resources and Coastal Resources

Israeli researchers are invited to submit proposals on the subjects specified in the documents which are available both on the CIRCLE website and the Hebrew website of the Ministry of Environmental Protection. For further details please see the CIRCLE website.
